About Us

Jori Campagna, Owner/Manager

Hello, I'm Jori. I started taking care of my neighbor's pets over 20 years ago, and it has always been so much more than just a job.

I have a passion and love for animals, which is the basis for providing the utmost care for them. After all, they're family!

I had quite a number of pets growing up including hamsters, birds, ferrets, and a Shetland Sheepdog.

I  graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Biological Sciences, originally intending to pursue wildlife conservation. Life took a different path, and now I am happily providing pet care for families in the Raleigh area.

My dog Soleil is my constant companion, and amazes me daily with his intelligence, charm, and soul. He loves practicing his agility course, and thoroughly enjoys his time accompanying me on nearly all of my dog walking, Adventure Camps, and pet care stays.

Soleil, "Staff"

Hi, I'm Soleil. I have worked here for over seven years and I love my job! I provide exercise, socialization, and friendship to our canine clients on a regular basis.

I help puppies learn good manners and I am very athletic so I can keep up with their energy. I am also respectful of older pups who prefer more relaxed company. My favorite part of this job is exploring the world with my dog friends during Dog Adventure Camp every week!

My mom says that I'm part of the inspiration behind the name Heart and Soul Pet Care. Check out that story on our Home page.

Ceridwyn, Staff

Hi, I'm Ceridwyn. I hold a lifelong passion and admiration for animals, and I cannot wait to meet yours!

I am an avid cat lover, having welcomed five into my family - one of which even loves to take daily walks with me! My family also includes salamanders, many aquariums, and my dog (a Labrador mix). I have cared for reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, cats, and dogs, including large breeds such as Irish Wolfhounds, a very stubborn Newfoundland/Great Pyrenees mix, and an extremely shy Greyhound.

I  have been an animal care volunteer at Carolina Tiger Rescue since 2017, and I volunteer with Marden's Ark, a small rescue for birds. I am currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Zoology, and training to become a wildlife rehabilitator.

Kate, Staff

Hi, my name is Kate! A life-long animal lover, I've always been drawn to animal care-taking, starting with a family of bunnies in fifth grade and then two wonderful shelter pups later in high school. After college, I became an expat for a decade, taking on work in the ESL/editing/translation sphere (with my miniature dachshund Shion along for the ride!) before returning to the NC area in 2019.

In college, I worked at several Raleigh/Durham area doggie day cares, veterinarian kennels, and overnight boarding facilities, taking care of pets of all shapes, sizes, and species.

After spending years working from home exclusively, I realized I greatly missed getting to meet lots of wonderful animals and showing them the love and care they all deserve while their beloved families are away. I look forward to extending that love and care to your family as well!

Julia, Staff

Hi, I’m Julia. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Right now, I have six cats—three of them ‘foster fails,’ including one I brought home from overseas and another from a litter of kittens I hand delivered. My husband jokes, ‘Julia, you’re not fostering, you’re adopting!’—and he’s not wrong! My cats are my world, and then some.

My journey with animals has taught me that our time with them is so short, and they deserve every ounce of care we can give. While they’re with us for just a brief moment, we are their entire universe. Every second with them should be cherished, and I feel incredibly privileged to be part of their lives.

A few years ago, while on a month-long trip overseas, my pet sitter didn’t show up. Thankfully, my mom stepped in, but it made me realize how devastating that situation could have been. That experience inspired me to become a pet sitter families can trust, ensuring you enjoy a truly worry-free trip, knowing your pets are in reliable, loving hands. I can’t wait to meet and care for your pets as if they were my own!

Niki, Staff

Hi there, I'm Niki! I am a registered veterinary nurse and have been practicing for twelve years, six of them in emergency medicine. I recently chose to take a step back from veterinary medicine in favor of taking care of pets in their homes. I have a particular fondness for cats and large dogs, but have worked with all kinds of animals, including farm animals and horses.

I currently have a gray tabby cat named Toby, but over the years I have had nine different cats and dogs, all of them rescues. Toby was five months old and living in the streets when I took him in, and he has grown into a happy, healthy boy!

I am passionate about providing the best possible care for the pets I am trusted with, and I have a strong sense of empathy for the inner worlds of animals. During my time in veterinary medicine, I have treated and loved hundreds of animals, and I look forward to loving as many as I can in the years to come!

Joanne, Staff

Hi I'm Joanne, and I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois, where I grew up loving animals and started my work as a veterinary assistant. In my teens, I was extremely fortunate to work with a husky breeder in Wisconsin, who trained and ran in the Iditarod. I spent a summer turning out runs and feeding more than thirty huskies, and knew every single one by name, and some by howl. You haven’t experienced anything until you hear thirty huskies “talking” at once.

I moved to North Carolina about 20 years ago and worked for an emergency specialty animal hospital while my kids were young. Part of my job was to triage and assist with emergencies, where I saw many injuries and illnesses. Another part of my job was to monitor medical conditions, administer treatments, and keep clients updated on the condition of their pets. I was trained in passive animal restraint, and I have experience working with anxious or aggressive dogs and cats. I also counseled nervous and grieving clients during very emotional moments.

These days, I love to go exploring and collect rocks with my black lab, who finds every single puddle along the way. The gleam in her eyes is worth the mess later. I’d love to provide your pet with the same level of care, joy, and dedication. I’m comfortable with any animal breed, size, temperament, and medical conditions.
